No affiliation¶
Reactive Volcano App ("the app", repository reactive-volcano-app) is an independent, unofficial,
non-commercial open-source project maintained by private individuals. It is not affiliated with,
endorsed, sponsored, authorized, reviewed or supported by Storz & Bickel GmbH or any of its parent,
subsidiary or affiliated companies.
The app is not an official product, replacement or extension of any manufacturer software. For the official app, firmware updates, warranty and support, please contact the manufacturer directly.
Trademarks¶
STORZ & BICKEL, VOLCANO, VOLCANO HYBRID, VENTY, VEAZY, CRAFTY and CRAFTY+ are trademarks or registered trademarks of Storz & Bickel GmbH. All other names, trademarks and brands are the property of their respective owners.
These names are used only descriptively, to indicate which devices the app is compatible with. Their use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by the trademark owner. The project does not use the manufacturer's logos, product photos, artwork or trade dress. The app's icon and illustrations are generic and do not use the manufacturer's branding.
No manufacturer code or content¶
The app was written from scratch. It contains no source code, firmware, binaries, images, fonts or texts of the manufacturer. It communicates with compatible devices only through their standard Bluetooth Low Energy interface, using the functions that the device itself exposes, for the sole purpose of interoperability. It does not modify, circumvent or replace device firmware, bootloaders or any protection measures, and it offers no firmware update function.
No warranty, no liability¶
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Use is entirely at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, the authors and contributors are not liable for any damage to devices, property or persons, loss of data, loss of warranty or any other damage arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the app.
Nothing in this notice limits liability where it cannot be limited by law (for example for intent or gross negligence, or for injury to life, body or health under German law).
Using third-party software with your device may have consequences for the manufacturer's warranty or support. Check with the manufacturer if that matters to you.
Safety and intended use¶
- Always follow the manufacturer's operating instructions and safety information for your device. The app does not replace them.
- The app can switch a heating device on and off, also automatically through workflows. Never leave a heating device unattended, keep it away from children, and stop any operation that looks wrong.
- The device's own safety functions (temperature limits, auto-shutdown) remain in effect; the app does not override them.
- Vaporizers are intended for adults. Use them only with substances and in ways that are legal where you live.
- The app and its documentation provide no medical, health or legal advice.
License¶
The source code and documentation are licensed under the
GNU Affero General Public License 3.0 (AGPL-3.0). Whoever passes on a changed version or runs
it for others has to offer its source code under the AGPL and keep the author attribution (see NOTICE). A commercial license without these
obligations is available via teufel-it.de.
Third-party libraries keep their own licenses (see package.json and node_modules/*/LICENSE).
Privacy¶
The app has no backend and collects no personal data. Details: Privacy & security.

If you are a rights holder and believe that anything in this project infringes your rights, please contact the maintainer before taking legal action, through a GitHub issue or the contact options on the maintainer's GitHub profile. Concerns will be reviewed promptly and in good faith, and content will be changed or removed where justified.

Die Reactive Volcano App („die App“, Repository reactive-volcano-app) ist ein unabhängiges,
inoffizielles, nicht kommerzielles Open-Source-Projekt von Privatpersonen. Sie steht in keiner
Verbindung zur Storz & Bickel GmbH oder mit ihr verbundenen Unternehmen und wird von diesen weder
unterstützt, gesponsert, autorisiert, geprüft noch betreut.
Die App ist kein offizielles Produkt, kein Ersatz und keine Erweiterung einer Herstellersoftware. Für die offizielle App, Firmware-Updates, Gewährleistung und Support wende dich bitte direkt an den Hersteller.
Marken¶
STORZ & BICKEL, VOLCANO, VOLCANO HYBRID, VENTY, VEAZY, CRAFTY und CRAFTY+ sind Marken oder eingetragene Marken der Storz & Bickel GmbH. Alle anderen Namen und Marken gehören ihren jeweiligen Inhabern.
Die Namen werden ausschließlich beschreibend verwendet, um anzugeben, mit welchen Geräten die App kompatibel ist. Daraus ergibt sich keine Verbindung zum Markeninhaber oder eine Billigung durch ihn. Das Projekt verwendet keine Logos, Produktfotos, Grafiken oder Gestaltungsmerkmale des Herstellers. Icon und Illustrationen der App sind neutral und nutzen keine Gestaltung des Herstellers.
Kein Code oder Inhalt des Herstellers¶
Die App wurde vollständig neu geschrieben. Sie enthält keinen Quellcode, keine Firmware, keine Binärdateien, Bilder, Schriften oder Texte des Herstellers. Sie kommuniziert mit kompatiblen Geräten nur über deren Standard-Schnittstelle Bluetooth Low Energy und nutzt die Funktionen, die das Gerät selbst anbietet, allein zum Zweck der Interoperabilität. Sie verändert, umgeht oder ersetzt weder Firmware noch Bootloader oder Schutzmaßnahmen und bietet keine Firmware-Updates an.
Keine Gewährleistung, Haftung¶
Die App wird „wie besehen“ und ohne jede Gewährleistung bereitgestellt, weder ausdrücklich noch stillschweigend, insbesondere nicht für Marktgängigkeit, Eignung für einen bestimmten Zweck oder Nichtverletzung von Rechten Dritter. Die Nutzung erfolgt auf eigene Gefahr. Soweit gesetzlich zulässig, haften die Autoren und Mitwirkenden nicht für Schäden an Geräten, Sachen oder Personen, Datenverlust, den Verlust von Garantie- oder Gewährleistungsansprüchen oder sonstige Schäden, die aus der Nutzung oder der Unmöglichkeit der Nutzung der App entstehen.
Unberührt bleibt die Haftung, soweit sie gesetzlich nicht ausgeschlossen werden kann, insbesondere bei Vorsatz und grober Fahrlässigkeit sowie bei Verletzung von Leben, Körper oder Gesundheit.
Die Nutzung von Drittsoftware mit deinem Gerät kann sich auf Garantie oder Support des Herstellers auswirken. Kläre das bei Bedarf mit dem Hersteller.
Sicherheit und bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch¶
- Beachte immer die Bedienungsanleitung und Sicherheitshinweise des Herstellers. Die App ersetzt sie nicht.
- Die App kann ein Heizgerät ein- und ausschalten, auch automatisch über Workflows. Lass ein Heizgerät nie unbeaufsichtigt, halte es von Kindern fern und brich jeden Vorgang ab, der nicht richtig aussieht.
- Die Sicherheitsfunktionen des Geräts (Temperaturgrenzen, automatische Abschaltung) bleiben aktiv; die App setzt sie nicht außer Kraft.
- Vaporizer sind für Erwachsene bestimmt. Verwende sie nur mit Stoffen und auf eine Weise, die dort, wo du lebst, erlaubt ist.
- App und Dokumentation sind keine medizinische, gesundheitliche oder rechtliche Beratung.
Lizenz¶
Quellcode und Dokumentation stehen unter der GNU Affero General Public License 3.0 (AGPL-3.0). Wer eine veränderte Version weitergibt oder für andere betreibt, muss ihren Quellcode unter der AGPL anbieten und die Nennung des Autors erhalten (siehe NOTICE). Eine kommerzielle Lizenz ohne diese Pflichten gibt es über teufel-it.de. Bibliotheken Dritter behalten ihre eigenen Lizenzen.
Datenschutz¶
